Rui Caldeira(UMA), Ricardo Tomé(FCUL) and Guillaume Riflet(IST-UTL) have created some bots for Windsurf alerts on the Madeira Islands, off the coast of Portugal.
You can access all of them through one, as they’re all networked in their
twitter homepage.
Feeds were also aggregated as a pipe, a dapper, an rssmix and an igoogle
gadget

are filtered and, when treshold values suitable for windsurfing and
kitesurfing are met, alerts are sent via twitter providing wind speed (in
knots) and direction.The service is still experimental and were still looking for optimal
treshold values per beach, so please give us a note in the wiki discussion
